ÿþTHE RULES



1.No racism. Racism is not tolerated on Chaos OT. You may not use 

words like "Nigger", "Nigga", "Jew", etc. You may not speak in 

such a way that could be misconstrued as racist to any group of 

people, be they white, black, brown, or even purple. *** Racism 

results in a character ban. These last 3 days. 3 offenses is a 

deletion. These are permanent, and you will NOT receive any 

EQ/donation credit from your banned account ***



2.No impersonating GMs/Admins. You may not make a character with 

"GM", "Admin", or any variants of that. You may not say you are 

a GM, or Admin. You may not make a character that is differently 

named by only one letter, or that can be read backwards as a 

character of a GM/Admin. *** First Offenses of this nature are 

character bans. These last 3 days. Second offenses are deletions. 

These are permanent, and you will NOT receive any EQ/donation 

credit from your banned account. ***



3.No inappropriate or nonsensical names. You may not make 

characters with names like "Infant eater", "So and So is a slut", 

"Shkehfue", "aaaaa". Character names being inappropriate are 

at GM/Admin discretion. *** The character in question will 

be banned. These bans are three days. After the ban, you will 

be allowed to transfer your EQ to a new character. Name changes 

can be donated for at the cost of $5.00 US if you wish to keep 

your character. The character will then be deleted after 24 hours, 

with or without your EQ still on it. If you create characters 

saying, for instance "Hex is a Transexual", your account will 

be deleted. ***



4.English is the official language of Chaos OT. You may not use 

any other language in Help Chat, Game-Chat, Trade Chat, or over 

Shanti. You may also not speak a foreign language to a Staff 

member, such as a GM or Admin, unless requested to do so 

(For instance, I often ask players to help me learn a new 

language). If you do not speak English, please request a 

translator when speaking to a GM or Admin. We will find one 

for you, and do our best to help you with your problem. *** There 

is no punishment, unless you repeatedly use a foreign language 

over Shanti, after being asked not to. Then you may be banned, 

if it is discovered that you are being insulting. Insulting 

staff in a foreign language is also bannable. Bans are 3 days. ***



5.No spamming. Spamming is considered to be more than 4 messages 

a second. Spamming is also considered typing one or two words, 

then hitting enter, so you finish a sentence 6 lines or so later. 

Sentences should be complete, or almost so, before hitting enter. 

Spamming is also considered to be using unnecessary spells in 

town, or any other location.  *** Spamming results in an IP ban. 

These last between 1 and 24 hours usually. ***



6.Manatrain away from public areas. You may not use manaburns, 

or any other manatraining spell in town, or in any area 

frequented by players of Chaos OT. You MAY use manaburning 

spells in chickens, in your house, or in some far off corner 

of the map, where no one will be bothered by you. *** Manatraining 

in areas not allowed by the rules is punishable by an IP ban 

without warning. These last between 1 and 24 hours usually. ***



7.Do not ask GMs/Admins for free items, or for blocking. 

*** Doing so will result in an IP ban. These last 1   24 

hours usually. ***



8.Players are not to own more than one house. The level to own 

a house is level 3,000. *** If a player under level 3,000 owns 

a house, unless they donated for it, it will be taken away. 

If a player owns multiple houses, even if they own them all on 

different characters/accounts, ALL their houses will be taken 

away. In both cases, they will not receive the items, or money 

they lost. Those are considered forfeit. ****



9.No insulting staff members in relation to their duties. For 

instance, you may not tell a GM/Admin they cheat, and you 

may not say they are a bad GM/Admin. You may not accuse them 

of power abuse, and you may not throw continuous streams of 

insults at them (You cunt, bitch, no life, blah blah blah.). 

*** This, and arguing with a GM/Admin over rules, punishments 

for rules, etc, will result in a character ban. These last three 

days. Coming back on another character to continue the argument 

will result in an IP ban. These last between 1 and 24 hours 

usually. If you persist on coming back (evading IP ban, etc). 

You may be deleted if your offense is harsh enough. ***



10.No bug abusing. This includes off-screening, and magic level 

bugs, as well as PZ abuse, and any other bug you can find. 

*** If you are caught bug abusing, you will be served a 3-day 

ban. If you are caught PZ abusing as a Redskull, you will be 

killed, and you will NOT get your items back, PLUS you will 

receive a 3 day character ban. If you are caught 

cavebotting/offscreening: First offense, you will simply receive 

a 3-day ban. Second offense, you will receive a reduction in 

levels (as well as, most likely, HP/Mana). This is at the 

discretion of an Admin (Hex or Zim). The third time you are 

caught offscreening, you will be cut in half, levels/hp/mp. 

If you persist, you will be deleted. These deletions are permanent, 

and you will NOT receive any EQ/donation credit from your banned 

account. ***



11.No shards under level 20,000. You will receive, at level 

20,000, 13 255x runes with your name on it (you will not be 

able to see the charges, but they are there). You will NEVER 

receive any more. That is it. Period. You may not give shards 

to anyone at all, not even your own lower level character, or 

someone who is over level 20k. *** If your shards end up on 

someone else, no matter the reason, you are banned. If they 

end up on more than one person, you are deleted. If you shard 

someone in the arena, the first offense you will be banned. 

Bans are 3 days. The second offense, you will be deleted. These 

are permanent, and you will NOT receive any EQ/donation 

credit from your banned account. ***



12.No advertising other servers. I do not go to your servers and 

go  COME PLAY CHAOS!!!  In fact, I dislike my players advertising 

on other servers entirely. *** If you choose to advertise another 

server, you will be IP banned immediately. ***



13.No account sharing!!! We are no longer handling cases of 

accounts being "hacked" as all of those cases we have handled 

in the past originated from account sharing. *** Account 

sharing is an instant deletion. These are permanent, and you 

will NOT receive any EQ/donation credit from your banned account. ***



14.Account trading, Off Server Trading (to/from, Tibia, Runescape, 

other servers, etc, be it items or accounts) is ILLEGAL! 

***You will be banned upon requesting an off server trade 

via forums, Shanti, etc. As SOON as an account changes hands, or 

is found to be sharing, it is a deletion. These are permanent, 

and you will NOT receive any EQ/donation credit from your 

banned account. ***



15.Multiclienting, Rainbow botting, and cavebotting are illegal. 

Spamming spells afk with a bot is also illegal. You are allowed 

to bot, however the previous mentioned will result in 

punishments. *** MCing: Used to stack is deletion of your 

accounts. All of them. These are permanent, and you will NOT 

receive any EQ/donation credit from your banned account. MCing 

for any other reason will result in a ban. These are 3 days. 

Rainbow botting (rainbow outfit) is a 3-day ban. For cavebotting 

punishments, please see rule #10.



16.Blocking spawns intentionally is illegal. *** You may be killed 

the first time, and banned the second. ***





Additional Notes:



1.We enforce the ladder system. You are required to take your 

problems to a TUTOR first. If your problem requires a GMs 

attention, the tutor will refer you to them, or will call on 

the GM themselves for you. If the GM cannot help you, they will 

refer you to an Admin, or tell the Admin about you themselves. 

If you go out of order, you risk an IP ban.



2.Bans are 3 days. You may not ask to be unbanned. The site does 

so automatically. Asking to be unbanned may add more time to 

your ban.



3.TUTORS are allowed to kill people, so don t bitch about it 

to a GM/Admin. Suck it up and kill them back.



4.Skin changes are donate or event only. Events are not done 

on demand.



5.We are not responsible for any losses in-game or real life 

relating to ChaosOT and you do not have the right to reclaim 

contributions or take legal or illegal action against ChaosOT.



The only way we are recovering your OB items now is if they were 

lost in a crash or dieing and they no longer exist on the server. 

If you lost it to another player then that player gets to keep it. 

We dont recover for being "hacked".



Note on Dupes:

The server has been scanned for all possible dupes. 

You can be assured your OB item is genuine.



By logging into the server you agree to these rules and they 

WILL be enforced by all GMs and Admins.
